How to Read the Bible as a Business Leader
Most business leaders don’t have a belief problem. They have a “what’s actually leading me” problem. You say Jesus is at the center. You say your business is Kingdom-driven. But if the Word of God isn’t shaping your daily decisions… something else is
That’s not a rebuke. That’s clarity.
There’s a growing hunger right now for truth. People are leaning back toward the Bible. They’re curious again. But here’s what I see over and over: We want the Word to be central, we just don’t know how to build it into real life. So, it becomes something we visit, instead of something we live from.
For me, the shift wasn’t about reading more. It was when the Word became real. Reading something in the morning and then seeing it play out in real life that same day. Not theory. Interaction. That’s when everything changes.
The biggest breakthrough? Not more knowledge, but slowing down. Instead of rushing through a chapter, I started asking: “God, what are You saying to me today?” And then staying there. Not moving on too quickly. Not filling the space with more input. Just listening.
Here’s the truth: The Word of God isn’t meant to be occasional. It’s meant to be your daily anchor. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 You don’t need the whole plan. You need the next step.
So, here’s a simple place to start this week: Set aside 15–20 minutes. Open the Word. Read a short passage. Then ask: “What is God highlighting right now?” Stay there. Let it follow you into your day. Because depth doesn’t come from reading more. It comes from staying longer.
And if you’re reading this thinking, “I want that, but I don’t have a rhythm yet…” That’s exactly why we created something simple for you. We’re running a free 30-day “Word at Work” rhythm, designed specifically for business leaders. Not theory. Not overload. Just a practical, guided way to build consistency with God in real life.
You can join live or just use the recordings on your own time here: Word at Work
You don’t build a Word-centered life overnight. You build it through daily returning. Returning when it feels alive. Returning when it feels dry. Because over time… You’re not just reading the Word. The Word starts leading you.
