How to Lead through Mess

Right now, we’re hearing two kinds of stories from our Heaven in Business community—record-breaking wins and heart-wrenching crises. Same marketplace. Same God. Very different outcomes.

So how do Kingdom leaders navigate this tension without burning out or backing away?

God is still looking for those who will stand in the gap (Ezekiel 22:30)—not as fixers, but as faithful representatives of His heart.

This is Kingdom Leadership:

Interceding instead of criticizing

  • Owning problems even if they’re not your fault
  • Covering others in honor, not gossip
  • Forgiving fast to stay clear and sharp
  • Confronting in love rather than letting bitterness grow

These aren’t just “nice ideas”—they’re your assignment as a Kingdom leader in the real marketplace.

🔍 Biblical Case Studies: Who Stood Up? Who Stepped Back?

From Moses and Nehemiah to Esther and Jesus, the Bible shows us what standing in the gap really looks like: prayer, risk, intercession, courage, and compassion. In contrast, leaders like Saul and Solomon drifted from God’s heart—and lost legacy.

You’re not called to carry everything. But you are called to show up with Jesus’ heart.

đź’¬ Reflection Questions for This Week:

Where is there a gap in your business, team, or relationships?

A crisis? A conflict? A silence that needs courage?

What does standing in that gap look like practically?

Do you need to intercede, own, cover, forgive, or speak truth in love?

Who do you need to pray for or forgive—simply because Jesus is praying for them too?

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you one name.

This week’s episode unpacks four simple steps to face fear in business and life — and discover God’s strength within you. Listen to the Podcast Here Re...

These spiritual disciplines will help you stay grounded in joy even when facing pressure, uncertainty, or ...
Why I Wrote My Wife a Card (and You Should Too)
This past weekend, Janine and I celebrated 27 years of marriage, no work, no agenda, just us. But a few months ago, that friendship was tested. I said something careless that revealed an old belief I didn’t know was still there. So I did something simple but powerful: every week, I started writing her a handwritten card, each one affirming who she is at her core, not just what she does. Why?Bec...
