What the Bible Says About Business

For many Christian business leaders, the Bible's guidance on business seems to stop at ethics, generosity, and stewardship. Those are essential, but what if Scripture has much more to say?

In this week's conversation, Nicholas Leone, founder of the Business Bible, shares how God's Word speaks directly to work, leadership, investment, multiplication, stewardship, crisis, and the everyday decisions we make in business. More importantly, he reminds us that the goal isn't simply to apply biblical principles; it's to encounter the God of the Word and let Him shape the way we lead.

Here are two practical ways to put this into practice this week:

  • Ask better questions. As you read Scripture, don't just ask, "What does this mean?" Ask, "What does this reveal about God's design for work, leadership, or stewardship?"
  • Invite God into your decisions. Before your next meeting or business decision, pause and ask, "Lord, what are You showing me here?" Small moments of listening can lead to surprising wisdom.

Whether you're leading a company, managing a team, or building something new, this conversation will encourage you to see your work through a fresh biblical lens.

Listen to the full podcast or read the blog below to discover how God's Word can transform the way you lead, work, and do business.

The Strategic Power of Discernment
One bad decision can shake your confidence. You thought you heard God about a relationship, a hire, a partnership, or an opportunity, but the outcome wasn’t what you expected. Now you find yourself second-guessing what you sense. But one missed decision doesn’t mean you’re bad at discernment. Hebrews tells us that discernment develops “by reason of use.” In other words, we grow as we practice. ...
What Will You Do if You Can't Quit?
What do you do when quitting feels impossible—but continuing feels just as hard? I’ve noticed that entrepreneurs are really good at pushing through. It’s one of our strengths. But it can also become a weakness when we keep pushing simply because we can’t bear the thought of failing. Joseph and Brittany Williams faced that tension through business setbacks, a lawsuit, financial pressure, and gro...
Pastor and Business Leader: What We Wish We Knew
Too often, we’ve separated Sunday ministry from Monday business. Pastors often see business leaders primarily through the lens of giving and volunteering, while business leaders may assume their pastor offers little for the challenges they face at work. Both miss something valuable. I sat down with Randy Griffin, former pastor, business owner, and now C12 Chair, to talk about what each side wis...
