Who Am I Becoming? A Hard Look at My Habits
This week, I found myself asking a hard but honest question:
“What kind of person are my habits shaping me into?”
Not “What do I want to be,” or “What am I doing with my life,” but something deeper:
Who am I actually becoming—right now—because of my daily choices?
I’ve realized something I didn’t want to admit:
I’m becoming more distracted. More digitally dependent. More emotionally disconnected.
Not because of a crisis or moral collapse.
But because of small, seemingly harmless distractions…
— Scrolling through reels before bed
— Playing “just one more level” of a game
— Checking messages while my kids want my attention
— Numbing out instead of showing up
These aren’t sins. But they are forming me.
Small habits matter
In this week’s blog post, I unpack the quiet danger of distraction—and the grace-filled path back to presence and purpose.

Key Takeaway:
You don’t need a life overhaul to get back on track.
Just one intentional step.
Here’s what I did:
Deleted a couple of social apps
Restarted my exercise rhythm—even if not 100%
Made myself accountable to someone I deeply respect
Action for You This Week:
- Ask yourself honestly: “Who am I becoming?”
- Pray the prayer in the blog (or make it your own).
- Share your intention with someone who can hold you accountable.
You’re not alone. And you’re not stuck.
Grace is real. Change is possible.
And presence—deep, soul-filled presence—is still available.
Let’s walk this road together.
