What Will You Do if You Can't Quit?
What do you do when quitting feels impossible—but continuing feels just as hard?
I’ve noticed that entrepreneurs are really good at pushing through. It’s one of our strengths. But it can also become a weakness when we keep pushing simply because we can’t bear the thought of failing.
Joseph and Brittany Williams faced that tension through business setbacks, a lawsuit, financial pressure, and growing strain at home. Their story raises an important question: Am I persevering because God is leading me, or because I’m afraid to let go?
If you’re facing pressure in business right now:
- Separate obedience from outcome. Ask: What would obedience look like even if I don’t get the outcome I want?
- Stop long enough to listen. Is God asking you to fight, wait, persevere, or release?
- Check the fruit at home. What is the pressure in your business producing in your closest relationships?
- Redefine the win. Sometimes success is not getting the result you wanted. It’s hearing God and doing what He says.
Joseph and Brittany discovered that God wasn’t only interested in building their businesses. He was forming them through the process—teaching them to trust Him beyond their own competence, release control, and find intimacy with God amid business pressure.
